Winter is Upon Us!
Eagle County’s real estate market continues to impress with average sale prices increasing – though units sales have lagged previous years due to ongoing elevated interest rates and inventory availability. On a macro level, real estate markets generally pause during presidential election year cycles and we are likely in the midst of that. The upside is that activity increases in the first quarter following an election and thus those who are in the market today may face less competition now versus waiting until the start of 2025. Overall, Eagle County may eclipse $3 billion dollars in sales this year, and while not a record, it is still a very strong year for those in the market.
Aside from real estate activity, we expect a great winter season with resorts opening throughout Colorado on an almost daily basis. As usual, snow arrived right around Halloween, and we have been receiving regular storms as we start the season in Vail and Beaver Creek. There are some fantastic events and a myriad of activities to enjoy (see below for just a sample of our favorites) in the coming months.
